Six people have been injured and taken to hospital following a crowd surge at the Economic Freedom Fighters Youth Day celebrations in Tshwane.
Emergency services say the incident occurred after attendees had waited for food for an extended period and became impatient when it was eventually distributed.
Witnesses reported scenes of pushing and shoving as people rushed to access meals.
