The Alexandra magistrates court has struck off the roll the fraud case against Johannesburg Development Agency JDA CEO Themba Mathibe, who is now effectively off the hook unless the National Prosecuting Authority NPA re-enrols the case.
During a hearing on Tuesday 2 June, the state asked the court for more time to finalise its investigation before the matter could proceed to trial. It said it wanted to search his devices.
