Defence witness Makhosonke Zungu is expected to return to the High Court in Pretoria when the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial resumes on Tuesday morning.
On Monday, Zungu said he didnt testify on behalf of the state, as he was uncomfortable with what they allegedly wanted him to say.
Zungu is the man that Constable Sizwe Zungu said he had been with when he went to a hostel in Vosloorus, east of Johannesburg, on the day that Meyiwa was shot dead.
