Two suspects, Darren Stephanus, 38, and Ryan Munnik, 20, have appeared in the Stellenbosch Magistrates Court in connection with the brutal murder of Johannes de Koker, a 77-year-old man found fatally stabbed at a cemetery on Distillery Road in Onder Papegaaiberg.
This tragic incident occurred on 17 January while de Koker was reportedly visiting his son's grave, marking a heartbreaking event that has left the local community in shock, as per report by EWN.
According to Captain F.C. Van Wyk, a spokesperson for the Western Cape police, the grim discovery of de Koker's body was made following a report from a security officer on duty at the cemetery.
