Former Independent Police Investigative Directorate IPID head Robert McBride is expected to appear before Parliaments Ad Hoc Committee probing allegations of criminal infiltration, political interference and corruption within the criminal justice system on Tuesday morning.
McBrides testimony is expected to focus on his central role in some of the most contentious investigations into alleged corruption within the South African Police Service.
He worked closely with private investigator Paul OSullivan on high-profile cases involving senior police officials, including the controversial investigation into former Acting National Police Commissioner Khomotso Phahlane.
