ActionSA's Ekurhuleni mayoral candidate, Xolani Khumalo, has been granted R 2000 bail by the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court.
Khumalo handed himself over at the Katlehong police station in Ekurhuleni after an alleged drug dealer laid a charge of assault against him.
ActionSA believes these development comes amid escalating tensions in Ekurhuleni, where his push for accountability has rattled drug syndicates.
