The volatile relationship between South Africa and the United States, which has seen US President Donald Trump take a stern stance against the recent G20 hosts, will be among the issues on the agenda of the ANC's four-day NGC meeting.
But the fragile relations between the party and the SACP, the previous general election results, which forced the party into the government of national unity, as well as the upcoming local government elections, will also not be left out of the agenda.
The ANC has officially kicked off with its very important gathering this afternoon, with the party's President Cyril Ramaphosa delivering the opening address at the Birchwood Hotel in Boksburg.
