ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa has criticised groups that are opposed to the partys transformation policies, accusing them of being driven by false claims of persecution of white Afrikaners.
Addressing delegates at the ANCs National General Council NGC on Monday 8 December, Ramaphosa urged the party to counter this narrative by mobilising support for non-racialism.
Domestically, groups such as AfriForum and the Solidarity Movement are outspoken against the governments race-based transformation policies such as the Expropriation Act and Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment B-BBEE. They have also campaigned against them internationally.
