The Senzo Meyiwa murder trial has been postponed until Friday in the High Court in Pretoria. The aim of the postponement is to give a defence witness time to get advice on the legal consequences of refusing to testify.
This is after Qiniselani Buthelezi, an inmate at a prison in KwaZulu-Natal, said he no longer wished to continue giving evidence.
Buthelezi, who started testifying on Friday last week, says he is uncomfortable with a statement being read in court, maintaining that investigator Bongani Gininda wrote it.
