ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula has vowed to clamp down on party members who are promoting billionaire businessman Patrice Motsepes potential run for ANC president.
Earlier this week, a viral video on social media showed a Gauteng facility printing pro-Motsepe T-shirts, sparking speculation that his campaign has started in earnest. The T-shirts bore a PM27 SAVUMELANA slogan.
The ANC is expected to hold its national conference in December 2027 where President Cyril Ramaphosas successor in the party will be elected.
