ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula has praised Ekurhuleni Mayor Nkosindiphile Xhakazas crackdown on officials implicated at the Madlanga commission of inquiry.
Speaking at a media briefing on Thursday 29 January, Mbalula said where there is prima facie evidence of wrongdoing, authorities and law enforcement agencies must act immediately.
If there is prima facie evidence that the law has been broken, we dont have to wait for the outcomes of the commission. The police must do their job and arrest these people, he said.
