Pietermaritzburg High Court Judge Nkosinathi Chili is expected to hand down his ruling on the application by former President Jacob Zuma and French arms company Thales for leave to appeal his earlier dismissal of their application for acquittal on Friday.
Thales, joined by Zuma in the application, argued it would suffer prejudice, as it could not test evidence led by the state because of the death of two of its former employees who were key witnesses.
Zuma and Thales face charges of racketeering, corruption, fraud and money-laundering related to the controversial 1990s arms deal.
