The African National Congress ANC Secretary-General, Fikile Mbalula, has dismissed rumors suggesting that he intends to run for the position of deputy president.
Reports have also surfaced regarding National Assembly Speaker Thoko Didizas plans to succeed Cyril Ramaphosa as the partys president.
Mbalula was briefing the media on the partys fifth National General Council currently under way in Boksburg, east of Johannesburg. He says issues of leadership will be discussed at the right time.
