The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry has postponed the testimony of suspended EMPD Deputy Chief Julius Mkhwanazi to 23 March.
The commission has heard that Mkhwanazis legal representative had only recently been appointed and requires more time to prepare for the proceedings.
His attorney Nkosana Khumalo also told the commission that Mkhwanazi recently underwent eye surgery and is scheduled for another procedure.
