Ekurhuleni Mayor Nkosindiphile Xhakaza says the city has registered improvements in financial performance and service delivery in the second quarter of the financial year.
Ekurhuleni's operating income for the quarter was slightly above the planned budget, amounting to R16.364 billion against a budget of R16.307 billion. Revenue collection also increased to 81.90, against a target of 90
"The city achieved 66 of the 93 targets. That equates to about 71 in quarter two, an improvement from 68 in the same quarter last year, Xhakaza noted at a media briefing on Friday 23 January.
