The Madlanga Commission has put it to Brigadier Rachel Matjeng that the amounts paid into her friends business account, Osizweni Butchery, were a form of gratification.
Evidence before the Commission has revealed that attempted murder accused Vusimuzi Cat Matlala paid a total of R300 000 to Osizweni Butchery.
Brigadier Matjeng told the Commission that the money was a debt owed to the butchery by Matlala as he had bought meat for that amount.
