Kirstenhof police station has been named the Best Lieutenant Colonel Station of the Year at the SAPS Western Cape Excellence Awards, an honour that recognises steady, community-centred policing, reports Cape town Etc .
The awards were held on 17 January at Century City, where Provincial and SAPS leaders praised officers and partners for service excellence.
Warrant Officer Deidre Solomon said the prize is especially meaningful given ongoing staff shortages and operational pressures.
