The Justice Department says the Booysens Magistrates Court in Johannesburg will open on Wednesday despite Tuesdays shooting incident.
Two people were killed and three others were wounded outside the court.
The departments Deputy Minister Andries Nel says security measures around courts need to be reviewed urgently following the incident in which gunmen opened fire on a group of people attending a court session.
