Former England internationals, Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer, have suggested that outgoing Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp could potentially take up a future role as president of Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund.
Klopp, who took over as Liverpools manager in October 2015, concluded his remarkable tenure at Anfield with a victory in his final match on Sunday, May 19.
Under his guidance, Liverpool finished third in the 2023-24 Premier League season with 82 points.
On The Rest Is Football podcast, Lineker shared a rumour about Klopps next move: I heard a little rumour that he might end up being president of Borussia Dortmund, which would be amazing.
I think he will definitely take some time out because hes genuine when he says hes run out of energy. There will be a battle for him or theyll be lining up in a years time.
Shearer, echoing Linekers comments, added, I heard the same, yeah.
