Toll gates on the N1 in the Limpopo are experiencing a surge in traffic. The N1 North remains closed for traffic near the Ysterberg Mountain outside Polokwane after a crash which claimed the lives of four people .
One lane in the southerly direction has now been opened. Traffic has been diverted to the R101 and some motorists traveling to Limpopo say traffic congestion started to increase as they approached that route.
One of the motorists traveling from KwaZulu-Natal says theres a chance they might miss the wedding they are going to attend.
