Health supplement company Zinplex has criticised Health Products Regulatory Authority, South African Health Products Regulatory Authority SAHPRA over its warning on childrens products containing Zinc Picolinate and Selenium.
SAHPRA says the ingredients are not permitted for under-18s due to safety concerns. However, Zinplex insists there is no scientific evidence showing its products pose any risk when used as directed.
Zinplex says their products are formulated by healthcare professionals, including pharmacists, and manufactured according to strict quality, safety, and regulatory standards. They says they have not received any safety reports or evidence suggesting that their products pose a risk to children when used as directed.
