The defence in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial has called Bongani Ntanzis third witness, Captain George Mtsweni, to testify about Ntanzis transfer from the Pretoria to Villieria Police Station. Mtsweni, a relief commander at Villieria, is testifying about the missing occurrence book OB he was instructed to search for.
The OB register is expected to shed light on the disputed cellphone allegedly confiscated from Ntanzi, as well as claims that he was assaulted.
Ntanzi and four others are on trial for the 2014 murder of the late Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa, who was shot and killed at his then-girlfriend Kelly Khumalos parental home in Vosloorus, east of Johannesburg.
