Cape Town motorists involved in illegal street racing and reckless driving could now face a far bigger consequence than a traffic fine, losing their vehicle altogether, Cape town Etc reports.
The City has officially brought a new Traffic By-law into effect, giving authorities stronger powers to impound vehicles linked to illegal racing, dangerous driving and serious noise violations caused by excessively modified cars.
According to reports shared by JP Smith on Facebook , the first vehicles have already been seized under the new regulations.
