Correctional Services authorities have conducted a prison raid at the Matatshe Correctional Centre in Thohoyandou , Limpopo. Officials confiscated drugs, more than 20 cellphones and various electronics during the operation held last night.
National Commissioner Makgothi Thobakgale led the correctional services guards and police in the search and seizure operation.
He says the raid is part of a broader effort to eradicate contraband from correctional facilities across the country.
