The Dido Valley housing project in Simon's Town is moving ahead, with the City of Cape Town handing over more homes to qualifying families from Redhill and the Luyolo community on 2 April 2026, reports Cape town Etc .
The R170 million development is expected to deliver 600 housing opportunities, including subsidised homes for Redhill residents and restitution homes for Luyolo beneficiaries.
Councillor Carl Pophaim said, Our teams have worked hard to deliver these opportunities and added that , The City will continue to hand over opportunities as homes are completed. The City says the project remains on track for completion in June 2028 , if all goes to plan.
