Businessman and senior African National Congress ANC leader in the North West, Suliman Carrim, rose to infamy after his name was mentioned at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry, which is probing allegations of criminality, political interference and corruption in the countrys criminal justice system.
Carrim, a well-known political figure in the province, is now facing increased scrutiny after he approached the South Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg on an urgent basis to stop the Commission from subpoenaing him to testify on Friday.
His bid , however, was unsuccessful.
