Nelson Mandela Bay NMB Municipality in the Eastern Cape says fires have been brought under control in the metro.
This follows ravaging fires in different parts of the metro and other parts of the Eastern Cape, causing damage to property and leading to road closures.
Nelson Mandela Bay Acting Mayor Gary Van Niekerk says there are still some active fires and emergency services are monitoring the affected areas.
