Uganda will open a new passenger terminal at Entebbe International Airport by the end of this month.
The 20 000sqm terminal will be commissioned in phases and is expected to boost the airports passenger-handling capacity from two million passengers to at least 3,5 million annually, according to the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority UCAA.
The new terminal features three additional aerobridges, bringing the total to five, 24 new check-in counters in addition to the existing 22, and 14 self-check-in counters.
