Qatar Airways QR says it has become the first carrier globally to install Starlink on Boeing 787-8 aircraft, with three Dreamliners already equipped, bringing its total of Starlink-equipped widebody aircraft to nearly 120.
Starlink has been introduced across its entire fleet of Boeing 777s and, more recently, Airbus A350s, representing over 58 of its widebody fleet.
Passengers on both long- and ultra-long-haul flights will have access to free gate-to-gate Wi-Fi, ultra-high-speed connectivity up to 500Mbs, and sports live streams. The service is available on various routes across the Americas and majority of destinations in Australia, as well as key routes in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East, with around 250 Starlink-enabled flights.
