Tshwane Metro Police officer, Major Lebogang Phiri, says statements from suspended Tshwane Metro Police Department TMPD Director of Assets Tshukudu Malatji, stating that he did not delegate the power of allocation to him, are malicious.
Phiri has been accused of assigning contract work to private security firms without the necessary delegated authority and of allegedly steering contracts towards Gubis85.
Phiri has testified at the Madlanga Commission that he received the instruction through an email from Malatji, which instructed him to run with it and delegate work to Gubis85.
