The President Hotel in Bantry Bay, Cape Town, has announced a R15 million renewable energy investment that will cut an estimated 145 tonnes of CO2 emissions every year and boost resilience against loadshedding, reports Cape town Etc .
The move, which the hotel says forms part of its StayGreen commitment, makes it one of Africa's largest Green Key certified establishments to push forward with major solar adoption.
According to The President Hotels statement, the project is being rolled out with support from AOCon Consulting Engineers and in partnership with Forest Energy. The aim is to reduce environmental impact while ensuring reliable operations during power cuts.
