Police Minister, Senzo Mchunu, who has been placed on special leave, says the Political Killings Task Team PKTT had financial implications to the fiscus that was unforeseen.
He is testifying before the Ad Hoc Committee investigating allegations of criminal infiltration, corruption and political interference in the justice system.
Mchunu was being questioned about his decision to disband the PKTT.
