Disaster management in the Garden Route District Municipality in the Western Cape says all role players are on high alert following the Orange Level 8 Warning for the region.
The South African Weather Services SAWS has warned of heavy rains and gale force winds from tomorrow in the central and little Karoo and parts of the Garden Route.
Disaster Management head, Gerhard Otto, says they will be meeting with education officials to consider closing schools on Wednesday.
