Deputy President Paul Mashatile is appearing before the National Council of Provinces NCOP on Tuesday afternoon to answer oral questions from Members of Parliament MPS.
Water provision will be one of the key questions Mashatile is expected to engage MPs on.
MPs will question Mashatile about whether government is considering public-private partnerships and investment to address persistent water and sanitation challenges that are worsened by ageing infrastructure, climate change and limited municipal capacity, as well as the issue of the so-called water tankers mafia that is exacerbating service delivery challenges.
