African National Congress Chief Whip and member of the Parliament's Ad Hoc Committee looking into claims of police infiltration and corruption, Mdumiseni Ntuli, says Vusimuzi Cat Matlalas testimony is vital.
Ntulis remark comes ahead of the committees visit to Kgosi Mampuru Correctional Centre in Pretoria this week .
Matlala is currently in prison, awaiting trial on multiple charges, including conspiracy to commit murder. He is also at the centre of allegations of police infiltration and corruption within the justice system.
