Political analyst, Professor Ntsikelelo Breakfast, says the firearm related case of Economic Freedom Fighters EFF leader, Julius Malema , may have a detrimental effect on the partys support.
On Friday, Malema appeared in the East London Regional Court for pre-sentencing proceedings following his conviction for discharging a firearm during the partys fifth anniversary celebrations in Mdantsane in 2018.
He has vowed to challenge both the conviction and any sentence imposed on him.
