Defence Minister Angie Motshekga says they are experiencing logistical challenges in bringing home the first group of soldiers who were part of the Southern African Development Community SADC force in the Democratic Republic of Congo DRC.
She was addressing the media at the Tempe Military base in Bloemfontein.
Motshekga says they are certain they have boarded the plane which will bring them back home.
250 soldiers were expected to arrive at the Air Force base Bloemspruit, at midday.
Motshekga says the soldiers might arrive anytime between today and tomorrow, at the latest.
