The Greater Johannesburg Learner Transport Association says it is actively engaging with some of its scholar transport operators to prevent the planned stay-away.
Operators in Lenasia, south of Johannesburg, have threatened to down tools on Friday following the impounding of 60 vehicles for various offences, including operating without a proper permit .
Three drivers were also arrested for overloading .
