The Kouga Municipality in the Eastern Cape says its disaster management teams are already on the ground preparing for forecasted disastrous weather with heavy rainfall.
This follows a severe weather warning issued by the South African Weather Service SAWS.
The alert predicts widespread rainfall, with a high risk of flooding and infrastructural damage expected over the Western Cape and Eastern Cape extending to Free State.
