A kitesurfer rescue off Melkbosstrand saw NSRI Station 18 crews and emergency medical teams bring three people to safety after a craft capsized, reports Cape town Etc .
Community Medics volunteers reported that medical personnel stood by as the NSRI crew rescued a kitesurfer and two lifeguards. The lifeguards kept calm, staying together with the victim until rescued, the post said.
Rescue crews recovered the group and brought them ashore. Paramedics assessed injuries and a single patient with minor injuries was transported to a nearby hospital by Netcare911, officials said.
