Western Cape Minister of Education David Maynier says his department will now focus on improving the quality of Matric passes .
This follows the provinces record-breaking performance in the 2025 National Senior Certificate NSC Exams.
The Western Cape achieved an 88.2 pass rate and a Bachelors pass rate of 49.2, the provinces best performance ever.
