Suspended Ekurhuleni Metro Police Deputy Chief, Julius Mkhwanazi, has apologised before Parliaments Ad Hoc Committee after admitting that he accepted money from alleged criminal kingpin businessman Vusimuzi Cat Matlala.
During questioning, Mkhwanazi conceded that the payments were inappropriate, telling Members of Parliament MPs that he regrets the decision and has since reflected on the consequences of associating with the wrong people.
