jao continues with wilderness pending court outcome

The Jao Reserve in the Okavango Delta, Botswana, will continue its marketing and reservations arrangements with Wilderness pending a court ruling over the reserves bid to terminate the partnership.

Wilderness embarked on legal action after what it described as a unilateral attempt by the reserve to terminate the 27-year-long partnership from December 1.

Pending the ruling of the High Court of Botswana, the parties have agreed that the current marketing and reservations activities relating to the Jao Reserve camps Jao, Tubu Tree, Little Tubu, Jacana, Pelo and Kwetsani will continue, without interruption, through the traditional Wilderness channels, Wilderness CEO Keith Vincent and Jao Reserve MD Martin Kays said in a joint statement.
