Geographic Expeditions will launch a new 22-day rail journey from China to Uzbekistan, with departures planned for September 2026 and August 2027.

The journey will be operated by Golden Eagle Luxury Trains and will travel to multiple cities in China, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

The Grand Silk Road by Train will start in Beijing, exploring the Forbidden City and Great Wall, before heading to Xian to view the Terracotta Warriors and then the Gobi Desert. Guests will then take a private flight transfer to Almaty, Kazakhstan, before resuming the rail tour to Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
