Humanitarian aid organisation Gift of the Givers has distributed drinking water and aid to the residents of Elim as well as firefighters in the small Cape Agulhas town.
Fires in the town affected infrastructure, including electricity supply.
Gift of the Givers spokesperson Corbin Mckriling says they are also extending help to the nearby town of Stanford thats also facing devastating fires .
