Police in the North West have, in the past few days, arrested four suspects in the Bojanala District for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
Provincial police spokesperson Colonel Adele Myburgh says this formed part of their intensified efforts to curb the illegal proliferation of firearms.
A 35-year-old man was arrested in Bleskop Informal Settlement after he was found with a rifle and ammunition in his possession for which he had no licence.
