City of Johannesburg Mayor Dada Morero remains in office following a postponement of a motion of no confidence against him.
The Council was due to hold a vote on Thursday 29 January. However, Speaker Margaret Arnolds deferred it to a later date, citing a request for a secret ballot. She did not indicate when the vote would be held.
Dada Morero survives - at least for nowAl Jamah councillor and former mayor Kabelo Gwamanda filed the motion on 15 January, with the United Democratic Movement UDM seconding it.
