The Electoral Commission IEC says the Democratic Alliance DA has won both by-elections that took place in the Cederberg and Langeberg areas in the Western Cape on Tuesday.
In Langeberg Ward Four, the DA managed to wrestle the seat from the African National Congress ANC after councillor Daniel Baadjies resigned from the ANC to contest the by-election as a DA member.
The vacancy in Cederberg Ward Four followed the DAs termination of the ward councillors party membership.
