City programme aims to teach learners how to navigate South Africa's changing energy future

As South Africans continue to battle load shedding's long-term effects, rising electricity costs and growing climate concerns, the City of Cape Town is turning to young people to help shape a smarter energy future.

Schools across Cape Town are now being encouraged to take part in the City's Energy Efficiency Schools Programme EESP, a series of interactive workshops and educational theatre events designed to teach learners about energy-saving habits, sustainability and renewable power solutions.

The programme forms part of the broader Cape Town Future Energy Festival, a city-wide initiative focused on helping residents better understand the country's evolving energy landscape.
