The Black Friday shopping season is upon South Africans once again - but the National Financial Ombud NFO has cautioned consumers against scams and swiping their way into a financial hangover.
With major retailers offering month-long promotions ahead of Black Friday on 28 November, consumers may be tempted to spend more than they should, thus worsening their debt situation.
They could fall victims of digital fraud schemes, which tend to spike during this period and the festive season.
